Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Calan's Marian Petculescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute, Olimpiu Paraschiv hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rimetea FCM's Nechifor Prislop played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Tatomir in the 10th minute of play. Nechifor Prislop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Tatomir in the 12th minute of play. When Răzvan Onete came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Rimetea FCM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Răzvan Onete couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Călin Romoşan during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Călin Romoşan hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Răzvan Onete in the 21st minute of play forced Calan's goalkeeper Octavian Enciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 26 minutes, Răzvan Onete managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rimetea FCM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Răzvan Onete was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Calan's goalkeeper Octavian Enciu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ionel Sârbu. If Răzvan Onete had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nechifor Prislop showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marian Petculescu in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Ionel Sârbu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ionel Sârbu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After a defensive mix-up in Calan's zone, Răzvan Onete stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavian Enciu came out of the goal and Răzvan Onete tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nechifor Prislop didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 56th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. Nechifor Prislop made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Tatomir in the 59th minute. With a little luck, Rimetea FCM's Nechifor Prislop got control of the ball when Daniel Tatomir tried to sneak it across the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Rimetea FCM's goalkeeper Nechifor Prislop had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Tatomir. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marian Petculescu in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nechifor Prislop prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Răzvan Onete might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Octavian Enciu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Răzvan Onete ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 77th minute, Daniel Tatomir left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Calan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Anton Tolea hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Calan's Octavian Enciu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Răzvan Onete in the 84th minute of play. Răzvan Onete received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Octavian Enciu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rimetea FCM's Nechifor Prislop proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Rimetea FCM from getting a goal against them. After 94 minutes, Anton Tolea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rimetea FCM and the Calan players grew even worse after the yellow card.
