Cristian Tăcutu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Niculae Apetroaiei put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Cristian Tăcutu. Niculae Apetroaiei who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Cristian Tăcutu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Yavuz Selim Kazak the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Rebcos Ciuchici protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Yavuz Selim Kazak had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 74 minutes into the game, one of Rebcos Ciuchici:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
