After a defensive mix-up in Palermo AFC's zone, Niculae Apetroaiei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rebcos Ciuchici's Mihăiţă Avramescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugen Hârtopanu in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Rebcos Ciuchici's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Nae came free, but Mihăiţă Avramescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernest Boia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 12 played minutes Palermo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Mircea Mineață. 15 minutes into the match, Palermo AFC's goalkeeper Florin Babeș had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Niculae Apetroaiei. In the 18th match minute, Rebcos Ciuchici was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavril Iacobeanu to maneuver through the defense. Mihăiţă Avramescu came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Palermo AFC's Gabriel Nae. But to his dismay, Gabriel Nae quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Mihăiţă Avramescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugen Hârtopanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute of the match, Ernest Boia tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Florin Babeș saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Calistrat Roşca charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Calistrat Roşca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th minute, one of Palermo AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Palermo AFC. The referee gave Rebcos Ciuchici a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gavril Iacobeanu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Palermo AFC's Florin Babeș. 1-1. 48 minutes into the match, Ernest Boia notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Palermo AFC's Florin Babeș. Florin Babeș was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Ernest Boia made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Niculae Apetroaiei managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rebcos Ciuchici's supporters rose to their feet, but Niculae Apetroaiei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florin Babeș breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When George Ioneasa fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palermo AFC's protests and gave George Ioneasa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th match minute, Palermo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Ioneasa to maneuver through the defense. Palermo AFC's Florin Babeș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niculae Apetroaiei in the 65th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niculae Apetroaiei in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florin Babeș saved Palermo AFC from getting behind. The referee ignored Palermo AFC's protests and gave Eugen Hârtopanu a yellow card for diving instead. After 75 played minutes Palermo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eugen Hârtopanu. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niculae Apetroaiei in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Florin Babeș prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82nd minute Ernest Boia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florin Babeș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Palermo AFC's Florin Babeș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niculae Apetroaiei in the 83rd minute of play. Florin Babeș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernest Boia in the 85th minute of the match. When Niculae Apetroaiei came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Rebcos Ciuchici fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niculae Apetroaiei couldn't finish the play. 91 minutes into the match, Ernest Boia notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Palermo AFC's Florin Babeș. Florin Babeș was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 96 minutes into the match, Palermo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Copil came free, but Florin Babeș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernest Boia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Florin Babeș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rebcos Ciuchici fully deserved thier win.
