Dragoş Archiudean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Cristian Tăcutu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gurguiata's Tobiasz Piatek got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Tăcutu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobiasz Piatek in the 15th minute of the match. Tobiasz Piatek struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Cristian Tăcutu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gurguiata. In the 22nd match minute, FC SOMOSD United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petru Arsenescu to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tobiasz Piatek in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristian Tăcutu saved FC SOMOSD United from getting behind. Cristian Tăcutu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobiasz Piatek in the 25th minute of the match. The supporters of Gurguiata booed when FC SOMOSD United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petruț Banciu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cezar Ispir fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC SOMOSD United's protests and gave Cezar Ispir a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th minute, FC SOMOSD United's Cezar Ispir ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emil Nicea. Emil Nicea yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Cristian Tăcutu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tobiasz Piatek's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cezar Ispir to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Petruț Banciu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC SOMOSD United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gurguiata the free kick. Petruț Banciu hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. A collision led to FC SOMOSD United getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Petru Arsenescu hit a great ball. Tobiasz Piatek struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. After 76 minutes, Tobiasz Piatek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gurguiata and the FC SOMOSD United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 76 played minutes Gurguiata got a freekick which was hit by Tobiasz Piatek. Cristian Tăcutu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobiasz Piatek in the 80th minute of play. Paul Corbuț sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Gurguiata's Tobiasz Piatek slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cristian Tăcutu. That made the score 1-2 after 82 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC SOMOSD United's zone, Tobiasz Piatek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Tăcutu came out of the goal and Tobiasz Piatek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Călin Beligan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, FC SOMOSD United's goal looked a bit too open when Tobiasz Piatek came free, but Cristian Tăcutu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When FC SOMOSD United's Petruț Banciu in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
