Spectators: 7507 (Terracing: 5631, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Robert Negulici made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niculae Cârnu in the 3rd minute of play. Laurențiu Avarvarei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th minute Laurențiu Avarvarei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iurie Tunar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Corneliu Pumnu hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Buhocel Atletic's Grigore Barbă couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 12th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Stramba. After having played for 13 minutes, Laurențiu Avarvarei managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buhocel Atletic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laurențiu Avarvarei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Buhocel Atletic's Laurențiu Avarvarei slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Iurie Tunar. That made the score 1-0 after 16 minutes of play. David Cucerzan succeeded in the game's 22nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Iurie Tunar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Codruț Vâtcu went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Laurențiu Avarvarei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iurie Tunar having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laurențiu Avarvarei was the one to do the kick off. Corneliu Pumnu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Negulici having to interfere. Stramba's Iurie Tunar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codruț Vâtcu in the 55th minute of play. Iurie Tunar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurențiu Avarvarei, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 57th match minute, Stramba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horaţiu Vermeşan to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute, Codruț Vâtcu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th match minute, Stramba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horaţiu Vermeşan to maneuver through the defense. Codruț Vâtcu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 64 played minutes Stramba got a freekick which was hit by Codruț Rogoz. Grigore Barbă was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 65th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Iurie Tunar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurențiu Avarvarei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, Codruț Vâtcu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iurie Tunar was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. When Laurențiu Avarvarei came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Buhocel Atletic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laurențiu Avarvarei couldn't finish the play. If Codruț Vâtcu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 minutes, Nicolae Burtescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stramba and the Buhocel Atletic players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 85 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Stramba! When the match clock showed 98 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Codruț Vâtcu sped through Stramba's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Iurie Tunar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Buhocel Atletic had played much better football throughout.
