Luca Arseni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihail Ecobescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Selimbar's Luca Arseni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Spânu in the 31st minute of play. In the 38th minute, Serafim Paraíba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Victor Spânu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luca Arseni was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Robert Dragu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Călin Șerbulea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, FC Selimbar's Luca Arseni got control of the ball when Victor Spânu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 71 played minutes FC Selimbar got a freekick which was hit by Augustin Moarcăș. FC Selimbar made a substitution. Călin Geoană replaced Narcis Culcer. After a rather tough play, FC Selimbar's Augustin Moarcăș got a free kick in the 73rd minute. When Călin Siniştean fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Selimbar's protests and gave Călin Siniştean a yellow card for diving instead. Luca Arseni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafim Paraíba, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Robert Dragu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chier's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
