Gelu Opriș stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudiu Ghiurutan's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Edgar Onișoru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Gelu Opriș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Claudiu Ghiurutan sped through Puini's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gelu Opriș. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Edgar Onișoru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dalnic's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Onișoru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gelu Opriș breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Dalnic were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manuel Bordeianu made a kick off. Claudiu Ghiurutan struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Gelu Opriș didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dalnic. Claudiu Ghiurutan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Gelu Opriș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgar Onișoru took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gelu Opriș. Gelu Opriș dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 86th match minute, Dalnic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mieszko Siwy to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 96 in the game by Claudiu Ghiurutan from a close distance when the talented Gelu Opriș managed to make a qualified save. Puini's players were relieved. Dalnic's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
