An unexpectedly hard shot by Dragoş Tecău in the 12th minute of play forced Ostrovul Q's goalkeeper Emilian Cinteză to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sorin Gane got free with Emilian Cinteză in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute, Cristinel Crivac ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristian Grecescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Ostrovul Q's Emilian Cinteză played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dragoş Tecău in the 24th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dragoş Tecău in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emilian Cinteză saved Ostrovul Q from getting behind. -BZF- Great Expectations's Cristian Grecescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristinel Crivac in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute, George Ştiopul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute of the match Octav Ionășescu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristian Grecescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cristinel Crivac recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Costel Busuioc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the game, Ostrovul Q's Cristinel Crivac nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristian Grecescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dragoş Tecău to make the kick off. A collision led to Ostrovul Q getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Mădălin Bântu hit a great ball. Mădălin Gagiu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 60 minutes into the match. Ostrovul Q's Costel Busuioc got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emilian Cinteză showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dragoş Tecău, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Emilian Cinteză made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dragoş Tecău in the 85th minute of play. Dragoş Tecău sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sorin Gane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Emilian Cinteză tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 98th minute, Sorin Gane ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emilian Cinteză was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. Ostrovul Q's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
