Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ion Geoană started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute Daniel Gioagă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicu Bocșa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Gioagă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Romeo Şimonca hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Nicu Bocșa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavel Bârsan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th match minute, Ferestrau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Şimonca to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 17 minutes, Pavel Bârsan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Athletic Club Brasov's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pavel Bârsan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th minute Moise Grindeanu suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Romeo Şimonca kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Pavel Bârsan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicu Bocșa having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Pavel Bârsan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Athletic Club Brasov's supporters rose to their feet, but Pavel Bârsan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicu Bocșa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Brăiloiu struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Ştefan Iovanovici didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ferestrau. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nechifor Grigore during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nechifor Grigore hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Nicu Bocșa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavel Bârsan in the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Pavel Bârsan made the kick off in the second half. Ion Geoană took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ştefan Iovanovici. Ştefan Iovanovici dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Ferestrau's zone, Pavel Bârsan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicu Bocșa came out of the goal and Pavel Bârsan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ion Geoană in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ştefan Iovanovici prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Athletic Club Brasov's Sebastian Buhuș shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 91st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Nicu Bocșa but with some difficulty. Nicu Bocșa didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Athletic Club Brasov's Daniel Gioagă shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute.
