Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Marcu Flamaropol got the match started through his kick off. In the 6thth minute of the game Gigi Teodorescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Temisoara's Horaţiu Vintilescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Marcu Flamaropol came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcu Flamaropol couldn't finish the play. Gigi Teodorescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Horaţiu Vintilescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tudor Stancu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugen Chiuzbaian having to interfere. Horaţiu Vintilescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcu Flamaropol in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Tudor Stancu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eugen Chiuzbaian was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Temisoara's Horaţiu Vintilescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigi Teodorescu in the 25th minute of play. After 25 played minutes Temisoara got a freekick which was hit by Constantin Nicodim. BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA-'s Eugen Chiuzbaian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA- from getting a goal against them. Eugen Chiuzbaian came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Temisoara's Răzvan Arnăuțescu. But to his dismay, Răzvan Arnăuțescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 46th minute Tudor Stancu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugen Chiuzbaian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Romeo Uncuţă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Romeo Uncuţă managed to get in a good position for a shot. Temisoara's supporters rose to their feet, but Romeo Uncuţă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugen Chiuzbaian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 57 minutes of play, Temisoara's Tudor Stancu made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugen Chiuzbaian was left in no man's land by his defense there! Horaţiu Vintilescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcu Flamaropol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gigi Teodorescu came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gigi Teodorescu couldn't finish the play. Eugen Chiuzbaian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tudor Stancu's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. In the 71st minute, Cezar Schiau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA-'s Eugen Chiuzbaian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tudor Stancu in the 74th minute of play. Gigi Teodorescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 78th minute, Marcu Flamaropol reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Horaţiu Vintilescu. The goal made the score 4-1. After 81 minutes, Traian Ştefănuţ mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA- and the Temisoara players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Temisoara booed when BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Traian Ştefănuţ didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the game, Ionel Răica was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Temisoara the free kick. A collision led to BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA- getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Ionel Răica hit a great ball. In the 88th minute David Mălin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugen Chiuzbaian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romeo Uncuţă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Eugen Chiuzbaian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Temisoara's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
