Spectators: 7339 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 100) Covrigi CSS's Corneliu Măgură played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octav Lupeanu in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute of the match SEVERIN got a corner. Covrigi CSS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Manuel Cotoi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ionel Iorgu hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Iurie Arapașu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Răzvan Grigore in the 16th minute. After 19 played minutes Emanuel Greavu rounded SEVERIN's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Corneliu Măgură didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Octav Lupeanu went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Corneliu Măgură showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iulian Şunda, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After having played for 29 minutes, Emanuel Videanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Covrigi CSS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Videanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Răzvan Grigore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iurie Arapașu having to interfere. If Emanuel Videanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octav Lupeanu in the 36th minute of play forced Covrigi CSS's goalkeeper Corneliu Măgură to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Ionel Iorgu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SEVERIN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. 44 minutes into the match, Covrigi CSS's Răzvan Grigore sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iurie Arapașu narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

After a rather tough play, SEVERIN's Marius Comănescu got a free kick in the 54th minute. Răzvan Grigore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iurie Arapașu having to interfere. Iulian Şunda's late challenge caught a Covrigi CSS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iulian Şunda helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th minute, Iulian Şunda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Răzvan Grigore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Iurie Arapașu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 64 minutes, Emanuel Videanu made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. SEVERIN's Iurie Arapașu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 68 minutes into the match, Covrigi CSS's goalkeeper Corneliu Măgură had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Denis Hritcu. 3-3 became the score in the 69th minute when Răzvan Grigore elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 76thth minute of the game Emanuel Videanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SEVERIN's Iurie Arapașu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Corneliu Măgură made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Hritcu in the 78th minute of play. Emanuel Videanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iurie Arapașu having to interfere. Răzvan Grigore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Iurie Arapașu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Romeo Cotuțiu made a precise shot to the right of Iurie Arapașu. SEVERIN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Octav Lupeanu got free with Corneliu Măgură in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 93rd minute, Emanuel Videanu made a precise shot to the right of Iurie Arapașu. SEVERIN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-3. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Covrigi CSS fully deserved thier win.
