Gigi Teodorescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute, Cezar Schiau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 23 minutes, Vintilă Perișoară made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA-'s Eugen Chiuzbaian tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA-'s Eugen Chiuzbaian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vintilă Perișoară in the 36th minute of play. Eugen Chiuzbaian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurențiu Hidiș in the 37th minute of play. Oreuou's Vintilă Perișoară managed to work through BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA-'s defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Vintilă Perișoară dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Vintilă Perișoară fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugen Chiuzbaian having to interfere. After having played for 44 minutes, Gigi Teodorescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Gigi Teodorescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laurențiu Hidiș was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA-'s goalkeeper Eugen Chiuzbaian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Oreuou! In the 57th minute there was a penalty for BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA-. Ionel Răica stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Francisc Ilarie. 1-2. If Laurențiu Hidiș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eugen Chiuzbaian showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Gigi Teodorescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Gigi Teodorescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisc Ilarie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 68th minute, Adrian Capșuneanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute of the match Ionel Răica shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Francisc Ilarie showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 70 played minutes Oreuou got a freekick which was hit by Ilie Șora. 74 minutes into the match, BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA-'s goal looked a bit too open when Laurențiu Hidiș came free, but Eugen Chiuzbaian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vintilă Perișoară recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Laurențiu Hidiș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA-:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Oreuou:s goal. 1-3 came through a penalty shot after 84 played minutes, when Oreuou:s Valer Aliuta calmly waited for BATALIONUL 20 -STEAUA-:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. In the 91st minute, Vintilă Perișoară ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eugen Chiuzbaian was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Gigi Teodorescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
