Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ionuț Scutaru got the match started through his kick off. After some careless play in the Penfolds® defense, Aurelian Bârlă kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Petruț Coraș. The Penfolds® fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Petruț Coraș should have stopped the shot. If Martin Caloian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the game, CS Targoviste's Martin Caloian nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Petruț Coraș made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Penfolds®'s Petruț Coraș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Caloian in the 23rd minute of play. Narcis Frunză kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Rareș Liciu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Petruț Coraș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Martin Caloian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute Teodor Aursulesei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petruț Coraș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodor Aursulesei in the 44th minute of play forced Penfolds®'s goalkeeper Petruț Coraș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Caloian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petruț Coraș read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. A collision led to Penfolds® getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Francisc Tătăruşanu hit a great ball. In the 49th minute, Moise Văidianu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rareș Pârâianu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 50th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Petruț Coraș. Penfolds®'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teodor Aursulesei made a kick off. Ionuț Scutaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nistor Beligan having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Horia Năstase during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 61 played minutes CS Targoviste got a freekick which was hit by Horia Năstase. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mihnea Cutieru in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nistor Beligan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Mihnea Cutieru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Penfolds®'s supporters rose to their feet, but Mihnea Cutieru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nistor Beligan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Petruț Coraș was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Teodor Aursulesei showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 69 minute of play. In the 79th match minute, Penfolds® was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moise Văidianu to maneuver through the defense. Ionuț Scutaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Petruț Coraș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodor Aursulesei in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute of the match Rareș Pârâianu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Petruț Coraș skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in CS Targoviste's zone, Mihnea Cutieru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nistor Beligan came out of the goal and Mihnea Cutieru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. CS Targoviste's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
