After having played for 17 minutes, Vasile Giurchescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CSMB Europa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vasile Giurchescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciprian Albu in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ştefan Arșanu saved CSMB Europa from getting behind. Ciprian Albu in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ştefan Arșanu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, CSMB Europa's Ştefan Arșanu got control of the ball when Ciprian Albu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Petruț Brădea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergiu Niță in the 30th minute of the match. Horia Micu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sergiu Niță hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Ştefan Arșanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciprian Albu, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. The audience was convinced that Ciprian Albu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ştefan Arșanu was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. If Ilie Cârnațiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Liverpool FC booed when CSMB Europa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasile Giurchescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vasile Giurchescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ştefan Arșanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciprian Albu, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciprian Albu in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ştefan Arșanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Ciprian Albu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ştefan Arșanu was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Iulian Preda got his second yellow card in the match during the 89th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Iulian Preda kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Ştefan Arșanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciprian Albu's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute.
