Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lucrețiu Ichim started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Gorunesti's Lucrețiu Ichim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maxim Istrăteanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Martin Câmpeanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maxim Istrăteanu having to make a save. In the 16th minute of the match, Martin Câmpeanu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Maxim Istrăteanu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gică Vaida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Cristinel Oravițan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gorunesti's zone, Teodor Teofil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristinel Oravițan came out of the goal and Teodor Teofil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martin Câmpeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Maxim Istrăteanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maxim Istrăteanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucrețiu Ichim in the 23rd minute of the match. Martin Câmpeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxim Istrăteanu having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Lucrețiu Ichim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gorunesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucrețiu Ichim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maxim Istrăteanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maxim Istrăteanu made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Martin Câmpeanu sent off a good shot on target. balaur FC's Maxim Istrăteanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucrețiu Ichim in the 31st minute of play. Martin Câmpeanus short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Maxim Istrăteanu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Lucrețiu Ichim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxim Istrăteanu having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Lucrețiu Ichim in the 41st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Câmpeanu got free with Maxim Istrăteanu in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Gorunesti's zone, Gică Vaida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristinel Oravițan came out of the goal and Gică Vaida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute, Corneliu Poplăcean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When Manole Tătăruşanu in the 51st matchminute tried to hit away a contribution it went so bad that the ball went into own goal via right pole. A dismal self made goal which led to 0-1. Cristinel Oravițan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodor Teofil in the 55th minute of play. Lucrețiu Ichim got in the 63rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Maxim Istrăteanu handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Martin Câmpeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxim Istrăteanu having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucrețiu Ichim in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maxim Istrăteanu saved balaur FC from getting behind. In the 72nd minute Lucrețiu Ichim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxim Istrăteanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gică Vaida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Gorunesti booed when balaur FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Șerban Oloieru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgar Stana charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgar Stana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th minute, Edgar Stana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute, Martin Câmpeanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gorunesti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Maxim Istrăteanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucrețiu Ichim, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Maxim Istrăteanu came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Gorunesti's Martin Câmpeanu. But to his dismay, Martin Câmpeanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Gică Vaida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the balaur FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gorunesti.
