This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Iulian Seţeanu as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 19th minute of the match, Ion Ioanițiu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Iulian Seţeanu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cristi Paraschiv who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Iulian Seţeanu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Santamaria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iulian Seţeanu should have stopped the shot.

The wind increased when Octavian Rogozanu made the kick off in the second half. Colonia CS's Radu Dan got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Cristi Paraschiv made a precise shot to the right of Iulian Seţeanu. Santamaria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicu Elefteriu in the 62nd minute of play forced Colonia CS's goalkeeper Mădălin Tatu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristi Paraschiv in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iulian Seţeanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66th minute, Marcel Mărăscu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ştefan Baltian might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iulian Seţeanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iulian Seţeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Santamaria booed when Colonia CS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorin Trapcea didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcel Mărăscu got free with Mădălin Tatu in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Iulian Seţeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radu Dan in the 91st minute of play. Iulian Seţeanu came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Colonia CS's Cristi Paraschiv. But to his dismay, Cristi Paraschiv quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Colonia CS fully deserved thier win.
