Robert Maniu came out of the goal and Augustin Calota tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute, Iustin Ologu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Vulcez CSM getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Flavius Bostan hit a great ball. Augustin Calota might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robert Maniu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Augustin Calota ran back to his position shaking his head. Iustin Ologu took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robert Maniu. Robert Maniu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Petruț Iosifian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliodor Damian in the 27th minute of the match. If Iustin Ologu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Vulcez CSM's goal looked a bit too open when Augustin Calota came free, but Robert Maniu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augustin Calota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Robert Maniu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eliodor Damian to strike the kick off in the second half. Ivan Fetanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petruț Iosifian read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Fetanu in the 67th minute of play forced Santimbru FC's goalkeeper Petruț Iosifian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Maniu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustin Ologu in the 74th minute of play. Augustin Calota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Robert Maniu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Cazimir Iosif made a precise shot to the right of Robert Maniu. Vulcez CSM's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Augustin Calota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 96 played minutes Vulcez CSM got a freekick which was hit by Nistor Marian. In the 97th minute of the match Dorin Stamatiu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Robert Maniu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Vulcez CSM fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Santimbru FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
