Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eliodor Damian started the match with the kick off. Petruț Vergulescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robert Maniu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Petruț Vergulescu ran back to his position shaking his head. If Mircea Costache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Vulcez CSM defense, Cristi Budianu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robert Maniu. The Vulcez CSM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Maniu should have stopped the shot. Robert Maniu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristi Budianu's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vulcez CSM's goalkeeper Robert Maniu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Ulea getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Cristi Budianu hit a great ball. After a good free kick, Cristi Budianu got an opportunity to smash the ball into the goal, but unfortunately, the ball went just outside the goal, which resulted in a goal kick for Vulcez CSM. Mircea Apostolescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Fetanu in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Vulcez CSM's goal looked a bit too open when Cristi Budianu came free, but Robert Maniu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute Eliodor Damian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mircea Apostolescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nistor Marian's late challenge caught a Ulea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nistor Marian helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ulea booed when Vulcez CSM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nistor Marian didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute, Mircea Costache got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristi Budianu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Maniu having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristi Minteuan in the 44th minute of play forced Vulcez CSM's goalkeeper Robert Maniu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Maniu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristi Budianu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Cristi Budianu made the kick off in the second half. Cristi Minteuan hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute Ivan Fetanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mircea Apostolescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mircea Apostolescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eliodor Damian's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Mircea Apostolescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Fetanu in the 64th minute of play. Nistor Marian was shown his second yellow card after 68 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Vulcez CSM getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Nistor Marian hit a great ball. After 72 played minutes Ulea got a freekick which was hit by Gavril Haidău. After a defensive mix-up in Ulea's zone, Ivan Fetanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mircea Apostolescu came out of the goal and Ivan Fetanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vulcez CSM's Robert Maniu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristi Budianu in the 84th minute of play. A collision led to Vulcez CSM getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Eliodor Damian hit a great ball. Mircea Costache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Robert Maniu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mircea Costache succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 92nd playminute.
