The referee ignored Santimbru FC's protests and gave Aurel Buș a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Santimbru FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Aurel Buș hit a great ball. In the 8th minute of the match, Cristi Budianu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Petruț Iosifian saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Augustin Calota took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mircea Apostolescu. Mircea Apostolescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Mircea Costache managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ulea's supporters rose to their feet, but Mircea Costache was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petruț Iosifian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristi Budianu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petruț Iosifian having to interfere. Mircea Costache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Augustin Calota managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santimbru FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Augustin Calota was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mircea Apostolescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mircea Apostolescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iustin Ologu went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 34th minute, Mircea Costache ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Petruț Iosifian was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Petruț Iosifian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristi Budianu in the 38th minute of play. Cristi Budianu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute Cristi Budianu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petruț Iosifian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iustin Ologu was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Santimbru FC's Augustin Calota made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mircea Apostolescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mircea Costache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute, Pavel Tatulici hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Mircea Costache sped through Santimbru FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Petruț Iosifian. After 64 minutes, Cristi Minteuan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ulea and the Santimbru FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ulea's Cristi Minteuan got a free kick in the 64th minute. Cristi Minteuan got his second yellow card in the match during the 66th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Cristi Minteuan kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Cazimir Iosif kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. The supporters of Ulea booed when Santimbru FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iustin Ologu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Santimbru FC's goalkeeper Petruț Iosifian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Iustin Ologu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Mircea Apostolescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Iustin Ologu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Santimbru FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
