Ivan Fetanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rareș Varga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgil Iosub in the 10th minute of the match. Augustin Dăscălescu's late challenge caught a Bosanceni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Augustin Dăscălescu helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 played minutes Vulcez CSM got a freekick which was hit by Augustin Dăscălescu. 13 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Bosanceni's Sever Encuțu fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Flavius Bostan during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience was convinced that Sever Encuțu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robert Maniu was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliodor Damian in the 21st minute of play forced Bosanceni's goalkeeper Rareș Varga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rareș Varga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eliodor Damian went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Vulcez CSM's Robert Maniu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sever Encuțu in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Damian Encica had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robert Maniu. Vulcez CSM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Encica was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Rareș Varga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ivan Fetanu went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Rareș Varga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nistor Marian in the 38th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Sever Encuțu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Robert Maniu. That made the score 2-2 in the 40 minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sever Encuțu to make the kick off. When Nistor Marian fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vulcez CSM's protests and gave Nistor Marian a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th match minute, Vulcez CSM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nistor Marian to maneuver through the defense. When Bosanceni's Damian Encica in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vulcez CSM's goalie prevented a goal. In the 64th minute Eliodor Damian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rareș Varga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Bosanceni getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Cosmin Giurgiu hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Eliodor Damian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vulcez CSM's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliodor Damian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rareș Varga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th minute, Filip Slavici hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Fetanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute Damian Encica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Maniu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliodor Damian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rareș Varga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Niculae Ichimescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Robert Maniu. Vulcez CSM's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nistor Marian hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Sever Encuțu struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Robert Maniu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bosanceni. Vulcez CSM's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
