The crowd rose to their feet as Vulcez CSM's Eliodor Damian slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Radu Istrate. That made the score 1-0 after 15 minutes of play. When Eliodor Damian, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 21 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Radu Istrate was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Ivan Fetanu in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Radu Istrate, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Nistor Marian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the gcg defense, Ivan Fetanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Radu Istrate. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David Ispirescu to strike the kick off in the second half. Robert Maniu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Ispirescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If David Ispirescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. gcg's Constantin Avacariței got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 68 minutes in the game, David Ispirescu dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Ivan Fetanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Radu Istrate. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivan Fetanu ran back to his position shaking his head. Vulcez CSM's Augustin Dăscălescu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 75th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for gcg. Radu Istrate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliodor Damian in the 83rd minute of the match.
