Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgar Boeru in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aurel Sbârcea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19th minute, Grigore Ciulei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cătălin Timaru during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st match minute, Berca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cătălin Timaru to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 22 minutes, Edgar Boeru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Talmaciul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Boeru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgar Boeru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored Berca's protests and gave Mugur Bărbânță a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nichifor Ciolac in the 69th minute of play forced Talmaciul's goalkeeper Martin Sinulescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horea Ivan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Sinulescu having to interfere.
