The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicodim Rădoi got free with Manole Braniște in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Obreja in the 17th minute of play forced Leicester City's goalkeeper Zula Ciempa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Leicester City getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Marcel Tache hit a great ball. In the 29th minute Ovidiu Romanescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zula Ciempa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silisteni's Manole Braniște played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marian Turceanu in the 30th minute of play. Manole Braniște took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vali Florescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute of the match, Nicodim Rădoi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Manole Braniște was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Manole Braniște made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vali Florescu in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of Silisteni booed when Leicester City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasile Penciulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 46 played minutes, Leicester City's Alexandru Sădeanu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Manole Braniște came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Leicester City reached it. Manole Braniște made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vali Florescu in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vali Florescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nicodim Rădoi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manole Braniște read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Nicodim Rădoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Manole Braniște was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fabian Obreja kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Vali Florescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manole Braniște was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Leicester City's Doru Martinescu got a free kick in the 65th minute. Manole Braniște came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Leicester City's Nicodim Rădoi. But to his dismay, Nicodim Rădoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. After 78 minutes Silisteni's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was 陈枫适 who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Leicester City's corner 陈枫适 fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Manole Braniște quite easily take care of the ball.
