The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Horea Hidiș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nechifor Văcăroiu charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nechifor Văcăroiu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nechifor Văcăroiu hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Vlad Vlădoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horea Hidiș, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 16th minute, Șerban Ipate hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Narcis Simionică got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Narcis Simionică took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vlad Vlădoiu. Barot's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, Tiberiu Vărzaru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barot's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Akarat F.C. the free kick. In the 22nd minute, Tiberiu Vărzaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Akarat F.C.'s Narcis Simionică couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Barot. After a defensive mix-up in Akarat F.C.'s zone, Tudor Ciolofan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliodor Udrescu came out of the goal and Tudor Ciolofan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vlad Vlădoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niculae Noica in the 41st minute of play. Vlad Vlădoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marius Codrescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Tudor Ciolofan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marius Codrescu was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute Marius Codrescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlad Vlădoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes in the game Ovidiu Gavruță did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Tiberiu Vărzaru. After a defensive mix-up in Akarat F.C.'s zone, Tiberiu Vărzaru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliodor Udrescu came out of the goal and Tiberiu Vărzaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vlad Vlădoiu was a little too slow when Niculae Noica got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 0-1. A collision led to Barot getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Ovidiu Gavruță hit a great ball. Valer Berceanu struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Vlad Vlădoiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Akarat F.C.. Vlad Vlădoiu went to the wrong direction when Narcis Simionică was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. A collision led to Barot getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Ovidiu Gavruță hit a great ball. In the 97th match minute, Barot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiberiu Vărzaru to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Akarat F.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Barot throughout the match.
