After 6 played minutes Green Eagles FC got a freekick which was hit by Iustin Ghionescu. Leontin Ogică received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Viorel Senin came out and tried to block the shot, but Leontin Ogică slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leontin Ogică in the 18th minute of play forced CIP Media's goalkeeper Viorel Senin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to CIP Media getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Dan Barbăsură hit a great ball. Iustin Macovei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iustin Macovei might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eric Ghețea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iustin Macovei ran back to his position shaking his head. 33 minutes into the match, CIP Media's Iustin Macovei sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eric Ghețea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Green Eagles FC's Lucrețiu Curăreanu got a free kick in the 34th minute. CIP Media's Laurențiu Abutnăriței got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Iustin Macovei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olimpiu Ştefănică hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Eric Ghețea came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by CIP Media's Laurențiu Abutnăriței. But to his dismay, Laurențiu Abutnăriței quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Leontin Ogică made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, CIP Media was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Barbăsură to maneuver through the defense. Costel Stolniciu charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Costel Stolniciu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leontin Ogică took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Viorel Senin. Viorel Senin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 63rd match minute, Green Eagles FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costel Stolniciu to maneuver through the defense. When Iustin Macovei came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the CIP Media fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iustin Macovei couldn't finish the play. After 67 minutes, Iustin Macovei made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Green Eagles FC's Eric Ghețea tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Laurențiu Abutnăriței sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Costel Stolniciu was shown his second yellow card after 72 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Costel Stolniciu hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute of the match Valer Coman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eric Ghețea showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Green Eagles FC's Liviu Spârlea got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute, Valer Coman sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Green Eagles FC's Eric Ghețea didn't even have to move. A collision led to CIP Media getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Iustin Macovei hit a great ball. Laurențiu Abutnăriței recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Laurențiu Abutnăriței's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eric Ghețea was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Mădălin Moculescu hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Laurențiu Abutnăriței recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. CIP Media were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Green Eagles FC to leave the ground with a draw.
