Rapid 1923's goal looked a bit too open when Nichifor Horodincă came free, but Alexandru Grădinaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bolintin United's Florin Goșa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stelian Şuplăcan in the 6th minute of play. Iustin Jder kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Florin Goșa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stelian Şuplăcan in the 9th minute of play. Stelian Şuplăcan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Florin Goșa having to make a save. Sever Honcioius short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Florin Goșa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sever Bălășescu hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Florin Goșa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Stelian Şuplăcan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. Sever Honcioiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucian Amurăriței fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandru Grădinaru having to interfere. Florin Goșa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stelian Şuplăcan's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. In the 41st minute, Fc. Rapid 1923's Stelian Şuplăcan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Florin Goșa. Florin Goșa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Stelian Şuplăcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florin Goșa having to interfere.

Stelian Şuplăcan stood ready after the free kick and tried to head the ball into the goal, but got pushed from behind by one of Bolintin United's defenders and the ball went out. Fc. Rapid 1923 appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sever Honcioiu in the 54th minute of play forced Bolintin United's goalkeeper Florin Goșa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Șerban Pavel during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 55 played minutes Fc. Rapid 1923 got a freekick which was hit by Șerban Pavel. Stelian Şuplăcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florin Goșa having to interfere. Bolintin United's Lucian Amurăriței got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Nichifor Horodincă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandru Grădinaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucian Amurăriței in the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the game, Bolintin United's Nichifor Horodincă nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexandru Grădinaru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 86th match minute, Bolintin United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costin Corbuț to maneuver through the defense. Sever Honcioiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Florin Goșa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sever Honcioiu in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florin Goșa saved Bolintin United from getting behind. 92 minutes into the match, Fc. Rapid 1923's goalkeeper Alexandru Grădinaru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nichifor Horodincă. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
