Spectators: 6717 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 0) Teodor Vaida started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 4 minutes into the game, Eliodor Jecu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. STEAUA86's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mezomojos CS the free kick. After 6 minutes, Nicu Barbă mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mezomojos CS and the STEAUA86 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cazimir Panaiteanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodor Vaida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Mezomojos CS's Cătălin Cangeopol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cazimir Panaiteanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Cătălin Cangeopol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 30 played minutes STEAUA86 got a freekick which was hit by Eliodor Jecu. Eliodor Filimon, 31 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Cazimir Panaiteanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cătălin Cangeopol's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. A hard shot 36 in the game by Sever Gorgan from a close distance when the talented Corneliu Onișoru managed to make a qualified save. Mezomojos CS's players were relieved. In the 41st minute, STEAUA86's Valer Chiriac seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Valer Chiriac the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of STEAUA86 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Valer Chiriac had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 40th minute, one of STEAUA86:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for STEAUA86. Cazimir Panaiteanu went to the wrong direction when Eliodor Filimon was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. If Teodor Vaida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sever Gorgan made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Chitoran during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice moves Cătălin Cangeopol could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Cazimir Panaiteanu however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cătălin Cangeopol got free with Cazimir Panaiteanu in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Teodor Vaida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cazimir Panaiteanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The STEAUA86 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mezomojos CS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
