In the 17th minute Damian Dumitrachescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Ghețea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 18 minutes, Damian Dumitrachescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CsMotru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damian Dumitrachescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The attack was good, but when Fabian Butnaru in the 20th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Sorin Pavel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eric Ghețea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabian Butnaru's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nichifor Crivac during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Liviu Spârlea was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 42nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind CsMotru's goalkeeper Narcis Ispas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leontin Ogică stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Green Eagles FC's Eric Ghețea got control of the ball when Nichifor Crivac tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Damian Dumitrachescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Iulian Arghirescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. CsMotru's Fabian Butnaru was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 61st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Damian Dumitrachescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Ghețea having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Green Eagles FC's Costel Stolniciu got a free kick in the 66th minute. Eric Ghețea was a little too slow when Damian Dumitrachescu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 0-4. Sorin Pavel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Narcis Ispas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sorin Pavel in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Narcis Ispas saved CsMotru from getting behind. Ionică Stroia kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Sorin Pavel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Damian Dumitrachescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eric Ghețea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Dumitrachescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
