The STEAUA86 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cazimir Panaiteanu should have stopped the shot. Damian Dumitrachescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Cazimir Panaiteanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12thth minute of the game Damian Dumitrachescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but STEAUA86's Cazimir Panaiteanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fabian Butnaru who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Cazimir Panaiteanu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 19th minute of the match, Fabian Filip tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cazimir Panaiteanu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sever Gorgan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Narcis Ispas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Narcis Ispas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sever Gorgan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cazimir Panaiteanu didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when CsMotru's Damian Dumitrachescu shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Cazimir Panaiteanu made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Fabian Butnaru sent off a good shot on target. If Fabian Butnaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in STEAUA86's zone, Damian Dumitrachescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cazimir Panaiteanu came out of the goal and Damian Dumitrachescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. CsMotru's Damian Dumitrachescu got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Damian Dumitrachescu came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the CsMotru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Dumitrachescu couldn't finish the play. Fabian Butnaru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Cazimir Panaiteanu made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in STEAUA86's zone, Damian Dumitrachescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cazimir Panaiteanu came out of the goal and Damian Dumitrachescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Damian Dumitrachescu made the kick off in the second half. Nichifor Crivac charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nichifor Crivac the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Damian Dumitrachescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabian Butnaru in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cazimir Panaiteanu saved STEAUA86 from getting behind. Damian Dumitrachescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cazimir Panaiteanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damian Dumitrachescu ran back to his position shaking his head. Fabian Butnaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Damian Dumitrachescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cazimir Panaiteanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Dumitrachescu in the 69th minute of play. Cazimir Panaiteanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Dumitrachescu in the 74th minute of the match. The supporters of CsMotru booed when STEAUA86 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliodor Jecu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Fabian Butnaru came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the CsMotru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Butnaru couldn't finish the play. Nichifor Crivac sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, STEAUA86's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Butnaru came free, but Cazimir Panaiteanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sever Gorgan hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After having played for 87 minutes, Fabian Butnaru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CsMotru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Butnaru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabian Butnaru struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Cazimir Panaiteanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CsMotru. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabian Filip during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of STEAUA86 booed when CsMotru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Filip didn't get a good kick on the ball. CsMotru's Fabian Butnaru got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
