Garliste's Aurelian Popean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horaţiu Brezoi in the 27th minute of play. After 31 played minutes Costel Verzeanu rounded FC Malina's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. If Bogdan Angheluș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Costel Verzeanu struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Costel Arseanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garliste. In the 42nd minute, Horaţiu Brezoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ionuț Nicoliță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costel Arseanu having to interfere. Costel Arseanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Costel Verzeanu in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Garliste booed when FC Malina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cătălin Vlădean didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Costel Verzeanu put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Costel Arseanu. In the 68th minute Ionuț Nicoliță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costel Arseanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Costel Verzeanu in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Costel Arseanu saved FC Malina from getting behind. Costel Arseanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogdan Angheluș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horaţiu Brezoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute there was a penalty for FC Malina. Adrian Alexandrescu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Aurelian Popean. 2-1. Ionuț Nicoliță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costel Arseanu having to interfere. Bogdan Angheluș blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Costel Arseanu having to make a save.
