Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Silviu Roșeanu made the kick off which started today's match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Costel Verzeanu in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pavel Braniște prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aurelian Popean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Ploieșteanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the game, David Bilașco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garliste's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Steaua LM the free kick. In the 25th minute, David Bilașco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Steaua LM's goal looked a bit too open when Bogdan Angheluș came free, but Pavel Braniște reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pavel Braniște showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Angheluș in the 36th minute of the match. Ionuț Nicoliță blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pavel Braniște having to make a save. In the 40th minute Petru Buș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Braniște saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Costel Verzeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Costel Verzeanu made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Ionuț Nicoliță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Braniște saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Costel Verzeanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garliste's supporters rose to their feet, but Costel Verzeanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pavel Braniște breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Costel Verzeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Pavel Braniște tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Garliste's Bogdan Angheluș got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ionuț Nicoliță blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pavel Braniște having to make a save. After 65 minutes, Costel Verzeanu made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Steaua LM's Pavel Braniște tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 72nd minute, Costel Verzeanu made a precise shot to the right of Pavel Braniște. Steaua LM's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. In the 75th minute Petru Buș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Braniște saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costel Verzeanu in the 80th minute of play forced Steaua LM's goalkeeper Pavel Braniște to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pavel Braniște made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costel Verzeanu in the 84th minute of play. Garliste's Petru Buș got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pavel Braniște took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costel Verzeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Ionuț Nicoliță got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felix Ploieșteanu struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Aurelian Popean didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Steaua LM. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Garliste had played much better football throughout.
