The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Oliver getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Gigel Crețulescu hit a great ball. The audience held their breath when Nistor Fulga in the 9th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Codrin Suluțiu's left hand side. Oliver's Vali Răduț got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pontus Euxin's goalkeeper Mikk Viilukas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mikk Viilukas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vali Răduț, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Oliver getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Teodor Stănoiu hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Oliver's Vlad Sucigan got a free kick in the 26th minute. Mikk Viilukas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viorel Videanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. If Lucian Zglobiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Codrin Suluțiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucian Zglobiu in the 40th minute of the match. Vali Răduț might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mikk Viilukas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vali Răduț ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Pontus Euxin getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Lucian Zglobiu hit a great ball. When Teodor Stănoiu fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oliver's protests and gave Teodor Stănoiu a yellow card for diving instead. Teodor Stănoiu kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lucian Zglobiu to strike the kick off in the second half. Gavino Hortero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Codrin Suluțiu having to interfere. Pontus Euxin's Corneliu Stănilă got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Pontus Euxin's Lucian Zglobiu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Codrin Suluțiu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lucian Zglobiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Codrin Suluțiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Codrin Suluțiu came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Pontus Euxin's Lucian Zglobiu. But to his dismay, Lucian Zglobiu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Corneliu Stănilă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Codrin Suluțiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucian Zglobiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the game, Pontus Euxin's Lucian Zglobiu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Codrin Suluțiu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Lucian Zglobiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 played minutes Pontus Euxin got a freekick which was hit by Laurențiu Sitaru. A hard shot by Gavril Pintilie from long distance, 80 minutes into the match, got Mikk Viilukas's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Vali Răduț sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 93 played minutes Oliver got a freekick which was hit by Horaţiu Măgură. Codrin Suluțiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucian Zglobiu in the 95th minute of the match.
