Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eduard Calini took the kick off in the first half of the match. Eduard Calini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 6 minutes of play, Zelau's Eduard Şumălan made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Petru Macovei was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eduard Şumălan took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Petru Macovei. Petru Macovei dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Petru Macovei was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eduard Calini showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 23 minute of play. Petru Macovei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduard Calini in the 26th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduard Calini in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petru Macovei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Perisanii's Petru Macovei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Perisanii from getting a goal against them. Eduard Şumălan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Horaţiu Râznicu struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Daniel Sterescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Perisanii. After 42 played minutes Zelau got a freekick which was hit by Sandu Postolache. Perisanii's Petru Macovei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Calini in the 46th minute of play. Zelau's Eduard Şumălan got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Costin Moise made a kick off. When Eduard Calini came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Zelau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduard Calini couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Perisanii's zone, Eduard Şumălan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petru Macovei came out of the goal and Eduard Şumălan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eduard Şumălan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petru Macovei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduard Calini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Costin Moise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Horia Gruescu during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Zelau's Horia Gruescu got a free kick in the 67th minute. If Eduard Şumălan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 played minutes Perisanii got a freekick which was hit by Cristi Pârlea. Eduard Şumălan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute Eduard Şumălan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petru Macovei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Perisanii's Petru Macovei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Şumălan in the 98th minute of play. Zelau's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
