The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristinel Uncheşelu during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 6 minutes into the game, Cosbuc UFC's Nae Ioviță nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ciprian Burtescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ciprian Burtescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iulian Bocșa in the 11th minute of the match. George Cucerzan charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Ciprian Burtescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Cosbuc UFC's Emilian Verzeanu got a free kick in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cosbuc UFC's zone, Robert Martinaș stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Costică Petculescu came out of the goal and Robert Martinaș tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 33 played minutes Cosbuc UFC got a freekick which was hit by Emilian Verzeanu. 34 minutes into the match, Cosbuc UFC's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Martinaș came free, but Costică Petculescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Cosbuc UFC's Iulian Bocșa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ciprian Burtescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 47th match minute, F.C. SOFYA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Cucerzan to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Iulian Bocșa scored 0-4 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciprian Burtescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dinu Morovan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Costică Petculescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cosbuc UFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
