Spectators: 7528 (Terracing: 5647, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 150) Iulian Bocșa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narcis Zdrăilă having to interfere. With a little luck, Cosbuc UFC's Costică Petculescu got control of the ball when Vasile Stroe tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 9th minute, Dacian Crainic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Narcis Zdrăilă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandru Armeanca, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. A collision led to Chelsea din Banat getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Anton Elenescu hit a great ball. Iulian Bocșa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Narcis Zdrăilă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nae Ioviță struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Narcis Zdrăilă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cosbuc UFC. Iulian Bocșa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Nae Ioviță came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Cosbuc UFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nae Ioviță couldn't finish the play. Narcis Zdrăilă stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iulian Bocșa's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Chelsea din Banat's zone, Iulian Bocșa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narcis Zdrăilă came out of the goal and Iulian Bocșa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the game, Vasile Stroe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Costică Petculescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sandu Bâlea's late challenge caught a Chelsea din Banat's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sandu Bâlea helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Chelsea din Banat booed when Cosbuc UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandu Bâlea didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Cosbuc UFC's Emilian Verzeanu got a free kick in the 37th minute. Dacian Crainic, 38 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Costică Petculescu came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Chelsea din Banat's Vasile Stroe. But to his dismay, Vasile Stroe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Doru Ciutacu was the one to do the kick off. Emilian Verzeanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Narcis Zdrăilă read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Costică Petculescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasile Stroe in the 52nd minute of play. After 54 minutes, Emilian Verzeanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cosbuc UFC and the Chelsea din Banat players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nae Ioviță in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Narcis Zdrăilă, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 60 played minutes Chelsea din Banat got a freekick which was hit by Dacian Crainic. Doru Ciutacu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Costică Petculescu having to make a save. In the 69th minute, Cosbuc UFC's Iulian Bocșa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Narcis Zdrăilă. Narcis Zdrăilă yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. After a rather tough play, Cosbuc UFC's Ivan Hurmuz got a free kick in the 78th minute. Nae Ioviță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Narcis Zdrăilă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iulian Bocșa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Cosbuc UFC's Emilian Verzeanu in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chelsea din Banat's goalie prevented a goal.
