Aurel Zorlescu started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurel Zorlescu in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vintilă Bădoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 7 minutes into the match, Docuzaci FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aurel Zorlescu came free, but Vintilă Bădoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Docuzaci FC's Horea Grozăvescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Narcis Zdrăilă made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Doru Ciutacu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelsea din Banat's supporters rose to their feet, but Doru Ciutacu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vintilă Bădoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Codruț Jitaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Chelsea din Banat defense, Luca Gâdea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Narcis Zdrăilă. The Chelsea din Banat fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Narcis Zdrăilă should have stopped the shot. Horea Grozăvescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Narcis Zdrăilă. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Horea Grozăvescu ran back to his position shaking his head. Codruț Jitaru's late challenge caught a Docuzaci FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Codruț Jitaru helped the player get up and apologised. Luca Gâdea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narcis Zdrăilă having to interfere. Gheorghe Lucian charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gheorghe Lucian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd minute there was a penalty for Docuzaci FC. Mugur Daraban stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Narcis Zdrăilă. 0-3. After having played for 37 minutes, Luca Gâdea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Docuzaci FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luca Gâdea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Doru Ciutacu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luca Gâdea was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chelsea din Banat's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mugur Daraban was slow to take the kick. During this time Docuzaci FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 54th minute of the match Eusebiu Istrăteanu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Narcis Zdrăilă skillfully saved the ball. Horea Grozăvescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Narcis Zdrăilă having to make a save. In the 66th minute, Doru Ciutacu made a precise shot to the right of Vintilă Bădoi. Docuzaci FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in Chelsea din Banat's zone, Horea Grozăvescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narcis Zdrăilă came out of the goal and Horea Grozăvescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 79 in the game by Horea Grozăvescu from a close distance when the talented Narcis Zdrăilă managed to make a qualified save. Chelsea din Banat's players were relieved. Docuzaci FC's Horea Grozăvescu got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Gâdea in the 86th minute of play forced Chelsea din Banat's goalkeeper Narcis Zdrăilă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Aurel Zorlescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Horea Grozăvescu came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Docuzaci FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horea Grozăvescu couldn't finish the play. Narcis Zdrăilă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Gâdea, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The Chelsea din Banat fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Docuzaci FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
