Spectators: 7659 (Terracing: 5746, Seating: 1761, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Moise Neculuță started the match with the kick off. Sararestii's Iulian Calomfirescu got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sararestii's Marcel Encica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Boc in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iulian Calomfirescu in the 18th minute of play forced FC Rapid Campia Turzii's goalkeeper Josef Feyand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ionică Şerb in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcel Encica saved Sararestii from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Sararestii's zone, Ionică Şerb stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Encica came out of the goal and Ionică Şerb tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36thth minute of the game Moise Neculuță who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Rapid Campia Turzii's Josef Feyand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sararestii's Marcel Encica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Boc in the 40th minute of play. Marcel Encica made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basarab Mirciu in the 42nd minute. After 44th play minutes Ionică Şerb shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Marcel Encica and just under the crossbar into goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The long shot by George Dejeu in the 52nd minute really tested Josef Feyand's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Iulian Calomfirescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Josef Feyand. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iulian Calomfirescu ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to FC Rapid Campia Turzii getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Paul Dăscălescu hit a great ball. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Rapid Campia Turzii's goalkeeper Josef Feyand, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FC Rapid Campia Turzii's Ionică Şerb got a free kick in the 60th minute. Ionică Şerb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Encica having to interfere. 65 minutes into the game, Victor Boc cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Marcel Encica was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Moise Neculuță managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sararestii's supporters rose to their feet, but Moise Neculuță was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josef Feyand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ionică Şerb in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcel Encica prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th match minute, FC Rapid Campia Turzii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marin Alexe to maneuver through the defense. Josef Feyand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moise Neculuță, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moise Neculuță in the 83rd minute of play forced FC Rapid Campia Turzii's goalkeeper Josef Feyand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 86 minutes, Basarab Mirciu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Rapid Campia Turzii's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basarab Mirciu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victor Boc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Encica having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Victor Boc made a precise shot to the right of Marcel Encica. Sararestii's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Iulian Calomfirescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Josef Feyand having to make a save. 96 minutes into the match, FC Rapid Campia Turzii's goal looked a bit too open when Moise Neculuță came free, but Josef Feyand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sararestii players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Rapid Campia Turzii.
