The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Codrin Dănășel during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tarculesti's Eduard Barna got his second yellow card of the match in the 32nd minute. The referee ordered Eduard Barna off the ground. In the 33rd minute, Eduard Barna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34thth minute of the game Mihnea Mangra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tarculesti's Tiberiu Manciulea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ştefan Răuțu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. AG FC were awarded a corner in the 49th minute after Tarculesti's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Iordache Cantemir took the corner. The corner led AG FC's Iordache Cantemir to fire away a dangerous shot which Tiberiu Manciulea despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aron Băieșu made a kick off. A collision led to AG FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Aurelian Chitila hit a great ball. If Ştefan Răuțu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AG FC's Mihnea Mangra got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 82 minutes into the game, AG FC's Ştefan Răuțu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiberiu Manciulea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. AG FC's Ştefan Răuțu suffered a concussion after 84 minutes and had to leave the field. After 85 minutes, Gigi Voicu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tarculesti and the AG FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gigi Voicu kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Mihnea Mangra struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Tiberiu Manciulea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AG FC. In the 88th minute, Codrin Dănășel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tarculesti's players were relieved. Mihnea Mangra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 97 minutes, Aron Băieșu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tarculesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aron Băieșu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Tarculesti fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. AG FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
