Spectators: 7620 (Terracing: 5716, Seating: 1752, VIP seats: 152) Ionică Coșeriu made the kick off and thus started the match. Ion Cârstea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Costandin in the 8th minute of the match. Ion Cârstea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ionică Coșeriu went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ion Cârstea came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Ciopirteni's Nistor Bacanu. But to his dismay, Nistor Bacanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 21st match minute, Ciopirteni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodor Cioroianu to maneuver through the defense. Ion Cârstea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionică Coșeriu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Verbia CS's goal looked a bit too open when Ionică Coșeriu came free, but Ion Cârstea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Ciopirteni's Ionică Coșeriu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ion Cârstea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. In the 35th minute, David Manea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iurie Muntian was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. In the 39th minute, Vali Homeag fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Iurie Muntian, passed just outside the right post. Iurie Muntian made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Lucrețiu Melinte sent off a good shot on target. Verbia CS's Manole Stelaru was substituted for Costică Bălcescu. After 42 played minutes Ciopirteni got a freekick which was hit by Marcu Andrițoiu. In the 43rd minute of the match David Manea shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iurie Muntian showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Iurie Muntian was a little too slow when Vali Homeag got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 3-3. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 3-3 after a close first half.

A collision led to Ciopirteni getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Valer Oproiu hit a great ball. In the 58th minute Marcu Andrițoiu suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. When Manole Stelaru fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Verbia CS's protests and gave Manole Stelaru a yellow card for diving instead. Romeo Costandin kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. David Manea took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Iurie Muntian. Ciopirteni's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 64th minute Verbia CS were awarded a corner. David Manea went to the cornerflag to take it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudiu Nica in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iurie Muntian saved Ciopirteni from getting behind. Vali Homeag received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Iurie Muntian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 68 played minutes Verbia CS got a freekick which was hit by Nicodim Ianculescu. The audience was convinced that Lucrețiu Melinte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iurie Muntian was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. 74 minutes into the match, Ciopirteni's goal looked a bit too open when David Manea came free, but Iurie Muntian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Manea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Ciopirteni getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Teodor Cioroianu hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the match, Vali Homeag notched a goal, 5-4, to the right of Ciopirteni's Iurie Muntian. Iurie Muntian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Verbia CS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
