Gelu Costescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Silişteanu in the 10th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emilian Cimpoieru in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gelu Costescu saved ⋆CB⋆FC.Rapid Nerau from getting behind. After having played for 13 minutes, Emilian Cimpoieru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Surdesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilian Cimpoieru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gabriel Silişteanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gelu Costescu having to interfere. Sorin Iliescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Gigel Seremet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th match minute, Surdesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurențiu Alexandroae to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st of the match, Valer Suciu tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Gigel Seremet got in the way and made a wonderful save. Gabriel Silişteanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gelu Costescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilian Cimpoieru, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Gabriel Silişteanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gelu Costescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriel Silişteanu ran back to his position shaking his head. Gabriel Silişteanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gelu Costescu having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in ⋆CB⋆FC.Rapid Nerau's zone, Emilian Cimpoieru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gelu Costescu came out of the goal and Emilian Cimpoieru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sandu Hosu hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emilian Cimpoieru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Gabriel Silişteanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gelu Costescu. ⋆CB⋆FC.Rapid Nerau's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Silişteanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Emilian Cimpoieru received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gelu Costescu came out and tried to block the shot, but Emilian Cimpoieru slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 61st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Silişteanu got free with Gelu Costescu in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Surdesti's Gabriel Silişteanu got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gelu Costescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilian Cimpoieru in the 75th minute of play. If Gabriel Silişteanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Radu Mușetescu kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Laurențiu Alexandroae sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and ⋆CB⋆FC.Rapid Nerau's Gelu Costescu didn't even have to move. Gabriel Silişteanu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 88th playminute. The audience was convinced that Gabriel Silişteanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gelu Costescu was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. If Emilian Cimpoieru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Surdesti's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
