Spectators: 7540 (Terracing: 5656, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 150) Luca Vâlceanu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd match minute, Langenfeld CSS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costică Trandafir to maneuver through the defense. Isac Strugure sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aron Stelaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionuț Apostu having to interfere. With a little luck, Langenfeld CSS's Ionuț Apostu got control of the ball when Horia Plopeanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luca Vâlceanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sven Ambjörnsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luca Vâlceanu ran back to his position shaking his head. Cocosul's Horia Plopeanu got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cocosul's Sven Ambjörnsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Vâlceanu in the 16th minute of play. A collision led to Cocosul getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Edgar Beșleaga hit a great ball. Cornel Tutuianu, 19 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Sven Ambjörnsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Vâlceanu in the 23rd minute of play. Isac Strugure sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ionuț Apostu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horia Plopeanu's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Ionuț Apostu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isac Strugure in the 35th minute. Sven Ambjörnsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Vâlceanu in the 41st minute of play. Sven Ambjörnsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Vâlceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Horia Plopeanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cocosul's supporters rose to their feet, but Horia Plopeanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ionuț Apostu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Horia Plopeanu made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgar Beșleaga during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cocosul getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Edgar Beșleaga hit a great ball. Luca Vâlceanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Sven Ambjörnsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Cocosul's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Codruț Argăseală fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Langenfeld CSS's Ionuț Apostu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horia Plopeanu in the 64th minute of play. A collision led to Cocosul getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Ionică Pascaru hit a great ball. Horia Plopeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionuț Apostu having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Isac Strugure made a precise shot to the right of Ionuț Apostu. Langenfeld CSS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. If Isac Strugure had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sven Ambjörnsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Vâlceanu in the 94th minute of the match. The supporters of Langenfeld CSS booed when Cocosul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aron Stelaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Codruț Argăseală blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sven Ambjörnsson having to make a save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Langenfeld CSS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cocosul.
