Mugurel Zegreanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Mihai Macamete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Fc Luup RO's goalkeeper Eliodor Sfârlea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gică Isbășoiu. After 15 played minutes Fc Luup RO got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Zăgănescu. The long shot by Denis Dragalina in the 16th minute really tested Eliodor Sfârlea's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Mihai Macamete showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mugurel Zegreanu in the 22nd minute of the match. Panait Balaeț kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the game, Sabin Hurezan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fc Luup RO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tulesti the free kick. After a rather tough play, Fc Luup RO's Sabin Hurezan got a free kick in the 28th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gică Isbășoiu got free with Eliodor Sfârlea in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Fc Luup RO getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Mugurel Zegreanu hit a great ball. Mihai Macamete showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mugurel Zegreanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Gică Isbășoius short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Eliodor Sfârlea to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Tulesti's Claudiu Lupulescu was substituted for Rareș Bejgăneanu. Fabian Zăgănescu's late challenge caught a Tulesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabian Zăgănescu helped the player get up and apologised. Gică Isbășoiu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eliodor Sfârlea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Sabin Hurezan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 64th minute, Mugurel Zegreanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mugurel Zegreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Isac Călin kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After having played for 72 minutes, Sabin Hurezan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Luup RO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sabin Hurezan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mihai Macamete was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Mugurel Zegreanu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mugurel Zegreanu really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. 77 minutes into the game, Sabin Hurezan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Mihai Macamete was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Gică Isbășoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Tulesti's goal looked a bit too open when Mugurel Zegreanu came free, but Mihai Macamete reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mihai Macamete showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mugurel Zegreanu in the 88th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tulesti's zone, Mugurel Zegreanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihai Macamete came out of the goal and Mugurel Zegreanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Fc Luup RO players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
