Emanuel Cândea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Codruț Argăseală went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

If Luca Vâlceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ionuț Apostu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustin Cordescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Cândea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Vâlceanu in the 66th minute of the match. Langenfeld CSS's Costică Trandafir got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Codruț Argăseală got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
