Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dumitru Văcărescu got the match started through his kick off. Varlezi's Sergiu Cercelescu got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Dumitru Văcărescu came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Rafinăria Dărmănești fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dumitru Văcărescu couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dumitru Văcărescu in the 9th minute of play forced Varlezi's goalkeeper Iustin Peter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Izbașa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iustin Peter having to make a save. Dumitru Văcărescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafinăria Dărmănești's Edgar Miniș proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Rafinăria Dărmănești from getting a goal against them. If Filip Leahu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th match minute, Rafinăria Dărmănești was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristinel Juverdeanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Filip Leahu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Varlezi's Sergiu Cercelescu got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rafinăria Dărmănești's Edgar Miniș proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Rafinăria Dărmănești from getting a goal against them. Filip Leahu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgar Miniș having to make a save. Sergiu Cercelescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Rafinăria Dărmănești defense, Sergiu Cercelescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgar Miniș. The Rafinăria Dărmănești fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgar Miniș should have stopped the shot. Edgar Miniș was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Filip Leahu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Filip Leahu really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Filip Leahu made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Filip Leahu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgar Miniș was relentless in the 56th minute of the game.
