Sergiu Cercelescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Emanuel Teleagă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filip Leahu had several of the Protopopesti UFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 28 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Emanuel Teleagă as he didn't even see the shot coming. 32 minutes into the match, Protopopesti UFC's goalkeeper Emanuel Teleagă had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sergiu Cercelescu. Filip Leahu struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Emanuel Teleagă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Varlezi. If Filip Leahu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Protopopesti UFC's goalkeeper Emanuel Teleagă, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Protopopesti UFC's Emanuel Teleagă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Leahu in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Iustinian Popescu thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Emanuel Teleagă, a very annoying self made goal in the 52nd minute which led to 2-0. Emanuel Teleagă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergiu Cercelescu in the 58th minute of the match. Eduard Zbârnea took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emanuel Teleagă. Protopopesti UFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sergiu Cercelescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Protopopesti UFC's goalkeeper Emanuel Teleagă, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Varlezi booed when Protopopesti UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelian Guguianu didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Protopopesti UFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Varlezi.
