An unexpectedly hard shot by Nichifor Muraru in the 18th minute of play forced The Unity BvB 09's goalkeeper Marcel Ciomag to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Radu Banu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ovidiu Ticulescu's late challenge caught a Sepsi-SIC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ovidiu Ticulescu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th minute of the match Pompiliu Cernat sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcel Ciomag skillfully saved the ball. If Sever Buznea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Sever Buznea managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Unity BvB 09's supporters rose to their feet, but Sever Buznea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrei Maghear breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Nichifor Muraru made the kick off in the second half. Constantin Vasiliu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Marcel Ciomag made a huge save. If Nichifor Muraru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Radu Banu fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Unity BvB 09's protests and gave Radu Banu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, Radu Banu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, Sepsi-SIC's Nichifor Muraru sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcel Ciomag narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Marcel Ciomag successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ion Miclovan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrei Maghear read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sepsi-SIC's zone, Ion Miclovan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrei Maghear came out of the goal and Ion Miclovan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nichifor Muraru in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcel Ciomag saved The Unity BvB 09 from getting behind. After having played for 74 minutes, Nichifor Muraru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sepsi-SIC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nichifor Muraru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th minute, Sepsi-SIC's Nichifor Muraru dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Andrei Maghear made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sever Buznea in the 92nd minute of play. If Nichifor Muraru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in The Unity BvB 09's zone, Nichifor Muraru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Ciomag came out of the goal and Nichifor Muraru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Constantin Vasiliu let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 97th minute shot 0-2 at rihgt post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sepsi-SIC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
