Spectators: 7462 (Terracing: 5597, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Petre Păltineanu got the match started through his kick off. Petre Păltineanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferdinand Tincu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Aurel Oancea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ferdinand Tincu having to make a save. A hard shot 9 in the game by Aurel Oancea from a close distance when the talented Ferdinand Tincu managed to make a qualified save. Vacarea AC's players were relieved. Ciceul's Petre Păltineanu got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gelu Bârsan kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Ciceul's Petru Arapașu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Răzvan Brumă in the 17th minute of play. After 18 played minutes Ciceul got a freekick which was hit by Gelu Bârsan. 25 minutes into the match, Ciceul's goal looked a bit too open when Doru Rada came free, but Petru Arapașu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Vacarea AC's Doru Rada nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Petru Arapașu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Petru Arapașu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doru Rada in the 30th minute of play. Ferdinand Tincu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petre Păltineanu in the 32nd minute of play. Petru Arapașu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doru Rada in the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th match minute, Ciceul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gică Negulescu to maneuver through the defense. The audience held their breath when Horaţiu Arieșan in the 38th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Petru Arapașu's left hand side. Răzvan Brumă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petru Arapașu having to interfere. After 41 played minutes Ciceul got a freekick which was hit by Liviu Oroian. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Aurel Oancea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Ferdinand Tincu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Aurel Oancea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferdinand Tincu. Vacarea AC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aurel Oancea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 62 minutes into the match, Vacarea AC's goal looked a bit too open when Petre Păltineanu came free, but Ferdinand Tincu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute Petre Păltineanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Tincu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferdinand Tincu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurențiu Nae, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 75 minutes into the match, Vacarea AC's Doru Rada sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Petru Arapașu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ferdinand Tincu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petre Păltineanu in the 77th minute of play. Doru Rada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurel Oancea in the 84th minute of play forced Vacarea AC's goalkeeper Ferdinand Tincu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Vacarea AC's goal looked a bit too open when Aurel Oancea came free, but Ferdinand Tincu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Petre Păltineanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ciceul's supporters rose to their feet, but Petre Păltineanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferdinand Tincu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 92 minutes, Aurel Oancea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ciceul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurel Oancea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ferdinand Tincu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Petre Păltineanu went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score.
