Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Vacarea AC's Doru Rada started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ferdinand Tincu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panait Ştirbu in the 4th minute of play. Cosmin Valerian was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 9th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After having played for 21 minutes, Panait Ştirbu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mehadia CS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Panait Ştirbu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Nicolae Ghizdeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Panait Ştirbu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Tincu having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Vacarea AC's Eusebiu Şuplăcan got a free kick in the 26th minute. Ferdinand Tincu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Panait Ştirbu went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ferdinand Tincu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Panait Ştirbu's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Răzvan Brumă blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eliodor Ficsinescu having to make a save. Ernest Călin's late challenge caught a Vacarea AC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernest Călin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th minute, Ernest Călin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicolae Lamru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferdinand Tincu came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Mehadia CS's Nicolae Ghizdeanu. But to his dismay, Nicolae Ghizdeanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Panait Ştirbu to make the kick off. Eliodor Ficsinescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Răzvan Brumă in the 64th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Mehadia CS's goal looked a bit too open when Răzvan Brumă came free, but Eliodor Ficsinescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Panait Ştirbu took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Ferdinand Tincu to make any attempt to save it. When Nicolae Lamru fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mehadia CS's protests and gave Nicolae Lamru a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Mehadia CS's Nicolae Lamru got a free kick in the 77th minute. Doru Rada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Eliodor Ficsinescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolae Ghizdeanus short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Ferdinand Tincu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 97 minutes into the game, Răzvan Brumă cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Eliodor Ficsinescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
