Eusebiu Şuplăcan kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Cătălin Popean took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ferdinand Tincu. Vacarea AC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ferdinand Tincu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurel Oancea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aurel Oancea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Tincu having to interfere. Petru Arapașu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doru Rada, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 24th minute Doru Rada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petru Arapașu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Doru Rada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciceul's Aurel Oancea got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Vacarea AC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Eusebiu Şuplăcan hit a great ball. Cătălin Popean kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Vacarea AC's Ferdinand Tincu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurel Oancea in the 36th minute of play. Doru Rada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vacarea AC's Doru Rada got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Aurel Oancea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ferdinand Tincu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, Marin Poalelungi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vacarea AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ciceul the free kick. Marin Poalelungi kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Ferdinand Tincu stood somewhat misplaced when Aurel Oancea came free in front of goal and shot 0-1 to the left of him in the 57 minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ciceul's zone, Răzvan Brumă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petru Arapașu came out of the goal and Răzvan Brumă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th match minute, Vacarea AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silviu Vulcănescu to maneuver through the defense. Vacarea AC's Ferdinand Tincu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Vacarea AC from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petre Păltineanu in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ferdinand Tincu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 75 minutes into the match, Ciceul's goal looked a bit too open when Răzvan Brumă came free, but Petru Arapașu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Doru Rada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vacarea AC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cătălin Popean was slow to take the kick. During this time Ciceul's players had a chance to rest. Cătălin Popean made a great header on Ciceul's corner, it was just that Vacarea AC's Ferdinand Tincu managed to reach the ball for a save. If Petre Păltineanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ciceul walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
