After 12 played minutes, Diesel's Gheorghe Tutuianu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bogdan Boroș came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Diesel reached it. Robert Morozan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Boroș having to interfere. In the 15th minute of the match Horaţiu Calciu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bogdan Boroș skillfully saved the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Diesel's goal looked a bit too open when Moise Dascălu came free, but Horia Mendrea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horia Mendrea was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Iacob Chibulcutean showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Diesel's zone, Ivan Panciu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horia Mendrea came out of the goal and Ivan Panciu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 41 minutes, Moise Dascălu made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Diesel's Horia Mendrea tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Moise Dascălu in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Horia Mendrea, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robert Morozan to make the kick off. Bogdan Boroș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mugurel Cârnu in the 52nd minute of the match. Moise Dascălu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Horia Mendrea having to make a save. Horia Mendrea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Moise Dascălu's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Iulian Manole recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute, Gheorghe Tutuianu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horia Mendrea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moise Dascălu in the 65th minute of the match. Robert Morozan hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute Moise Dascălu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horia Mendrea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Diesel's goal looked a bit too open when Moise Dascălu came free, but Horia Mendrea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iulian Manole in the 70th minute of play forced Diesel's goalkeeper Horia Mendrea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Moise Dascălu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horia Mendrea was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Robert Morozan hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, Ivan Panciu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Horia Mendrea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Moise Dascălu's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Moise Dascălu in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horia Mendrea saved Diesel from getting behind. Horia Mendrea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moise Dascălu went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. 92 minutes into the game, Ivan Panciu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. Brasov's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Diesel the free kick. In the 92nd minute, Ivan Panciu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Mădălin Protase sped through F.C. Brasov's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bogdan Boroș. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. F.C. Brasov had played much better football throughout.
